OUR CHARISM
A Charism is a gift from God and a specific way that he calls a person or a group to live the spirituality, communion, and mission that comes from a mystery of Jesus’ life.
Regnum Christi is latin for “the Kingdom of Christ.” Christ is the Kingdom of God incarnate, and he invites Regnum Christi to the mission of making him present here and now in the hearts of all people and in the world around us: he invites us to be his apostles.
Jesus seeks us out to meet us where we are, brings us together as a community, reveals the love of his heart to us, forms us as apostles, and invites us to go out with him to evangelize so that he may reign in the hearts of all people and in the world around us.
The way Regnum Christi members live the charism
unfolds in 5 aspects of their lives.
From the charism springs a spirituality and a way of living the mission in five distinct elements: spiritual life, formation, accompaniment, apostolate, and team life, with a strong emphasis on the Encounter with Christ, a way Regnum Christi small groups come together to pray, discern the needs of the world around them, and respond to those needs as God calls them to.
Living the Regnum Christi charism as a community
In Regnum Christi, Jesus Christ calls each person, together with others of different vocations– Legionaries of Christ, Consecrated Women, Lay Consecrated Men, and lay members – to the mission of making his kingdom present in the hearts of the people around us and in today’s society. He calls us to be a community of apostles.

The charism is something alive, something that lives in hearts of the people who receive it from God, and unfolds in a way of living the spirituality and mission.
El carisma es algo vivo que se encarna en las personas que lo reciben y se despliega en una espiritualidad y modo de vivir la misión.
Our Spirituality
Regnum Christi’s charism, like all charisms in the Church, is rooted in a mystery from Christ’s life which inspires a unique spirituality. Our spirituality is centered above all on Jesus Christ and born from experiencing his love. We seek to respond to our Friend and Lord with a personal, real, passionate and faithful love.

Our shared charism makes us a spiritual family and an apostolic body - a community of apostles.
As a pontifically approved Federation in the Catholic Church, we have a structure and a charism that give rise to a way of discerning and living the mission in communion among the different vocations that make up Regnum Christi.
What mystery in Christ’s life does the RC Charism come from?
Every charism springs from a mystery in the life of Christ, from contemplating him and from living that mystery, which is part of the mystery of Christ himself.
The essays available here reflect on the charism according to the Regnum Christi Statutes and the mystery of Christ’s life which gives rise to the Regnum Christi identity. They include workshops and questions that help us concretely understand our way of living this mystery.
The Regnum Christi Identity
An essay that reflects on what it means to live a mystery of the life of Christ and make it present in the world, and about the particular mystery in Christ’s life that the Regnum Christi identity springs from. It also contains three concept maps, and an infographic. It was created by the Life and Mission Division of the General Directorate of the Regnum Christi Federation, with the intention of helping us to go deeper in understanding the charism while praying with the Word of God. Live the mystery of the Kingdom
A second essay that continues from The Regnum Christi Identity and focuses more specifically on the mission of making the Kingdom present in one’s own life, in the hearts of others and in society. It includes workshops and questions for reflection that help us understand how to live this mystery concretely.

Contemplative & Evangelizing
This essay addresses a charismatic trait in all Regnum Christi members, being “contemplative and evangelizing” (SRCF 20). This duality is not just one particular characteristic of the way a Regnum Christi member lives and acts among many others. It is a vital attitude that permits us to know, love, and follow Christ the Apostle and allow him to transform us.

The Pledge of Friendship with Christ
ECYD is a part of our spiritual family. This essay, then, is directed to all of us – those who have had contact with ECYD and those who have not, or had it a long time ago – to all who want to find light in the mystery of Jesus Christ who comes out to meet us and invites us to live as his friends and apostles. In the following pages we share the thoughts of the different territories five years after the publication of the ECYD Statutes.

The Encounter with Christ
This essay seeks to encourage the renewed practice of the Encounter with Christ by going deeper into its essence and offering principles that allow it to be adapted to each team’s circumstances. It develops the following themes: the place of this activity in the life of Regnum Christi, its historical development and its relationship to the charism, its Biblical roots, the internal dynamic of the Encounter with Christ, and the meaning of its parts.

Statutes & Regulations of Regnum Christi
The Statutes & Regulations of the Regnum Christi Federation collect and express the identity, mission and organizational structure of Regnum Christi. The Statutes were approved by the Holy See in 2019, after a path of renewal and redemption, at the same time that Regnum Christi was established as a Federation between the Legionaries of Christ, Consecrated Women, Lay Consecrated Women, and lay members who join by associating individually .

Recogen y expresan la identidad, misión, y forma de organizarse el Regnum Christi.
Los Estatutos se aprobaron en 2019 por la Santa Sede tras un camino de renovación y de redención, y el Regnum Christi se constituyó como una Federación entre los Legionarios de Cristo, las Consagradas y los Laicos Consagrados, a la que los laicos se incorporan asociándose individualmente.
