What Is
regnum christi?
Regnum Christi is a spiritual family and an apostolic body in the Catholic Church, with the mission of making the Kingdom of Christ present today, in our hearts, in the hearts of all people, and in the world around us.
A spiritual family with
four vocations and
one mission:
to make Christ’s kingdom present
in today’s world.
ENCOUNTER WITH THE
LIVING CHRIST, WHO SENDS US
OUT TO BE HIS APOSTLES.
We are a Federation in the Catholic Church made up of the Legionaries of Christ, the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi, the Lay Consecrated Men of Regnum Christi, and lay members from all walks of life.
We come from many different countries and cultures; we are of many different ages and social circumstances, but we are united by the experience of having met Christ and experiencing his love.
We are his witnesses, and he calls us to be his apostles, living our lives in collaboration with Christ so that others can personally meet him and experience his invincible, transforming love.
We live all of this in the midst of the real world of today, with all of its problems, uncertainties, imperfections, weaknesses, and mistakes… but with the experience of God’s love, his forgiveness, and the knowledge that nothing we can do will ever separate us from him.
Our motto is “Christ our King, Thy Kingdom Come!” ( SRCF 13)
It expresses the ardent desire to make the Kingdom present — to make Christ himself, who is the Kingdom incarnate, present in our world today — and to live like the first Christian communities.
LIVING A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST…
… because he is the Kingdom of God incarnate.
We want his love to be the center of our lives, we want to love as he loves, and love what he loves, staying close to him through the Gospel, the sacraments, the life of prayer, the cross, and love for our neighbor. From this comes a strong desire to share Christ with others, especially those who have never really met him, and a missionary attitude that we live concretely in our personal lives, in our communities, and through different institutions and programs.
ACCOMPANYING EACH OTHER ALONG THE WAY…
… because we can’t do this alone.
Christ accompanies us, and we accompany each other as a community of apostles following him in the midst of the concrete realities of our lives, walking together while living our unique vocational paths, supporting each other as true brothers and sisters, and disciples of Jesus.
SENT OUT AS APOSTLES ON A MISSION…
… because what is not given is lost.
We live an apostolic dynamism and a missionary attitude that is born from an encounter with Christ and his love which transforms us and moves us to share the Gospel message with others.
